Asahi Glass Philippines Inaugurates Its New Float Glass Plant

Asahi Glass Philippines, Inc. (AGP), a subsidiary of Asahi Glass Company Ltd. of Japan (AGC) and the pioneer in flat glass manufacturing in the country will inaugurate its new Philippine Float Glass Plant on 16 August in its manufacturing complex in Barangay Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City.

Another highlight of this special event is the signing of the Registration Agreement between AGP and Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) which appoints the former as the Operator and Developer of the Asahi Special Economic Zone. This emanates from the Presidential Proclamation No. 957 declaring the 28.13 hectare manufacturing complex into a special economic zone. PEZA Director-General Lilia B. De Lima is expected to attend the affair and represent the aforementioned government agency.
